Police Have No Duty To Protect Individuals

"Because the police have no general duty to protect individuals, judicial remedies are not available for their failure to protect. In other words, if someone is injured because they expected but did not receive police protection, they cannot recover damages by suing (except in very special cases, explained below)."

You really need to read and understand this - YOU are responsible for protecting your life and the lives of your family and those under your care.

N.J. laws on guns may be relaxed

I'm not sure if the author of this piece is trying to make a political statement about the property tax cap and police being laid off - however the point about New Jersey residents having the RIGHT to defend themselves stands out. It's a short read - enjoy: N.J. laws on guns may be relaxed | | Courier-Post

Opinion: Should condos have the right to restrict weapons? -

I found this Op-Ed piece early this morning and thought I would share. I completely disagree with Mr. Bonvie's reasoning - it is more of the same 'lock up your wives and kids' stuff, using the same tired and dishonest arguments the anti-gunners love to use. Please read the article (perhaps on an empty stomach to prevent losing your breakfast) and then read the comments.

I just found and joined a new social networking site for shooters:

Did you know that Brian Aitken is still in jail?!?!

This young man was legally transporting his legally owned handguns which he legally purchased in Colorado to his new residence in New Jersey. Why is he still in jail after seven years?

N.J. Assembly advances legislation aimed at better protecting domestic violence victims

"The measure creating a self-defense justification for domestic violence victims was sponsored by L. Grace Spencer, (D-Newark). She said it would make evidence surrounding domestic violence restraining orders admissible and relevant to determining if someone protected by such orders was justified in using force to protect themselves."

from the 'Educating themselves into imbicility' folder

While the Seton Hall shooting was tragic, the liberal viewpoint that even more regulation will prevent these types of CRIMES is mis-placed. Please read this article titled 'Opinion: Don’t touch gun-carry permit laws' ... and then read the comments at the bottom.

Once again misinformation and hysteria are the primary tools of the liberal 'educators'
